Montego Bay Jamaica

Caribbean: The Islands Montego Bay  is the capital of the  parish  of  St. James  and the second largest city in Jamaica  by area and the fourth by population (after  Kingston ,  Spanish Town  and Portmore ). It is a tourist destination with  duty-free  shopping, a cruise line terminal and several beaches. The city is backed by picturesque low mountains.

The city's population was 897,859 as of the 2009 census, and was officially estimated to have reached 942,194 in 2012. [1] The city of Port-au-Prince is on the  Gulf of Gonâve : the bay on which the city lies, which acts as a natural harbor, has sustained economic activity since the civilizations of the  Arawaks . It was first incorporated under the colonial rule of the French, in 1749, and has been Haiti's largest city since then. The city's layout is similar to that of an amphitheatre ; commercial districts are near the water, while residential neighborhoods are located on the hills above. La Romana Dominican Republic

La Romana  is the third-largest city in the  Dominican Republic  with a population estimated in 2010 at 130,426 within the city limits ( metropolitan  population: 214,109), of whom 127,623 are urban and 2,803 are rural. The city is capital of the southeastern province of La Romana , opposite  Catalina Island . The name  Romana  comes from a balance that was used to weigh merchandise for export.  Santa Rosa de Lima  is the patron saint of La Romana. The modern  La Romana International Airport  was opened in 1999. The city is near several other cities, such as  San Pedro de Macorís  and the national capital,  Santo Domingo de Guzmán . The city is a hub for a growing tourist industry with several nearby local resort spots, such as the beachfront  Bayahibe , Dominicus, Casa de Campo, and the growing number of golf resorts that surround the area.

As of the  2010 census , it had a population of 395,326 making it the  46th-largest  city under the jurisdiction of the United States. Carolina  ( Spanish pronunciation:  [kaɾoˈlina] ) is a  municipality  located on the northeast coast of  Puerto Rico . It lies immediately east of the capital  San Juan  and  Trujillo Alto ; north of  Gurabo  and  Juncos ; and west of  Canóvanas  and  Loíza . Carolina is spread over 12 wards plus Villa Carolina (the downtown area and administrative center). It is part of the  San Juan-Caguas-Guaynabo Metropolitan Statistical Area , and home to Puerto Rico's main airport, the  Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport .

Basse-Terre  is the  prefecture  (Capital city) of  Guadeloupe , an  overseas region  and department  of France located in the  Lesser Antilles . [1]  The city of Basse-Terre is located on  Basse-Terre Island , the western-half of Guadeloupe. Although it is the administrative capital of Guadeloupe, Basse-Terre is only the second largest city in Guadeloupe behind  Pointe-à-Pitre  with its urban area, with 44,864 inhabitants in 1999 (12,400 of whom lived in the city of Basse-Terre proper).

Roseau  ( Kwéyòl :  Wozo ) is the  capital  and largest city of  Dominica . With a population of 16,582. It is a small and compact urban settlement, located within the  Saint George   parish  and surrounded by the  Caribbean Sea , the  Roseau River and  Morne Bruce . Built on the site of the ancient  Kalinago Indian  village of Sairi, it is the oldest and most important urban settlement on the island of Dominica. It is located on the west ( leeward ) coast of Dominica, and is a combination of modern and colonial (French Style) architecture. Roseau is Dominica's most important port for foreign trade. Some exports include bananas ,  bay oil , vegetables, grapefruit, oranges, and  cocoa . The service sector is also a large part of the local economy.

Bridgetown   / ˈ b r ɪ dʒ t aʊ n / , metropolitan pop 110,000 (2014), is the capital and largest city of the nation of  Barbados . Formerly, the  Town of Saint Michael , the Greater Bridgetown area is located within the  parish  of  Saint Michael . Bridgetown is sometimes locally referred to as "The City", but the most common reference is simply "Town". The  Bridgetown  port, found along  Carlisle Bay  (at  13.106°N 59.632°W ) lies on the southwestern coast of the island. Parts of the Greater Bridgetown area (as roughly defined by the  Ring Road Bypass  or more commonly known as the  ABC Highway ), [3] sit close to the borders of the neighbouring parishes  Christ Church  and  St. James . Castries   / ˈ k æ s t r iː z / , population 20,000, aggl. 53,639 (2013-05-12), is the  capital  and largest city of  Saint Lucia , a country in the  Caribbean . The quarter with the same name had a population of 70,000 on 22 May 2013 and stretches over an area of 30.5 square miles (79 km 2 ). Castries is in a flood gut and is built on  reclaimed land . It houses the seat of government and the head offices of many of foreign and local businesses. The city's design is in a grid pattern similar to a metropolitan city like  New York  but on a much smaller scale. Its sheltered harbour receives cargo vessels, ferry boats, and cruise ships. It houses  duty-free  shopping facilities such as Point Seraphine and La Place Carinage. Many restaurants offer menus from local to Chinese. Supermarkets and other shopping facilities provide goods.
